Fur Love – For the love of dogs

Nothing beats a day at the spa. A few hours set aside, for you and only you. The relaxing treatments force you to breathe easy, leaving you feeling nothing but pure bliss. We love to treat ourselves to the luxurious pampering and lucious feeling you leave the salon with, so why not treat your beloved fur baby to the same ordeal?

Introducing Fur Love.

The world of soft skin and sweet smelling paws may all be brand new to a dog, but we can guarantee it’s a world not going anywhere, anytime soon. When Ineke, Fur Love Founder, Surgeon and paw-rent to the sweetest Labradoodle, was in need of something to help her fur babies dry skin, she searched high and low for a natural product that would fit the bill.  When nothing proved worthy, Ineke set out to create her own and Fur Love was born.

Knowing full well dogs love to explore the world orally, the mission to create products that not only provide your dog with the best, but are 100% natural and safe for them too, began. The well-established range of skin and coat care products work to moisturise, replenish and protect your pup and include only the best ingredients like coconut oil, hemp seed oil, manuka honey and beeswax – making them almost good enough to eat! Aside from their impressive ingredients list, the Fur Love product range most importantly, works.

The range

With dry skin a common problem in many dog breeds and a dry, tangled coat only aggravating this, applying daily moisture is essential. Luckily, the ingredients that make up Fur Loves tubs of sweet smelling Moisturise Balms focus on maintaining a healthy skin and coat whilst their Conditioning Mask helps to prevent curly coats from tangling and matting. After all, keeping our pup’s exterior looking and feeling healthy is just as important as their internal well-being!

The Fur Love range doesn’t just stop at Moisture Balms and Conditioning Masks either. Although these products have to be some of our favourites, their incredible Manuka Honey Dog Shampoo not only leaves your dog smelling amazing after bath time, but holds anti-bacterial and healing properties that work to nourish the skin and coat, too.

The Fur Love alkaline based Paw Soak is the last but definitely not least product we need to mention and an absolute winner in our books. Containing coconut and citrus, the Paw Soak offers dog owners a simple and effective way to keep paws clean and healthy. Whilst cleansing, the soak (much like a foot bath) helps to sooth itchy spots, reduce redness or staining, draw out impurities and dry out irritations – leaving your pup with the best looking, feeling and smelling paws out!

For women, men and dogs alike, the abundance of potions and serums on the market can get slightly overwhelming. But at the end of the day, nothing beats natural ingredients, right? Coconut oil, hempseed, beeswax and manuka honey provide us and them with essential omega oils and minerals, vital for nourishing and enhancing the skin we’re in. With only the best ingredients used, the Fur Love dog skin and coat care range is designed and guaranteed to help sensitive, itchy and dry skin. And best of all, it’s completely natural.

From December 1st to 6th is the one and only Dog Beauty & Wellness Week and of course, the brand behind New Zealand’s very first dog beauty products is here to celebrate! With the  belief dogs deserve to be treated like royalty, Fur Love is ready and waiting to make a BIG deal out of this week at their studio pop-up on 170 Ponsonby Road.

Whilst the Fur Love studio can be found here for the entire month of December, the first week at location will see the team hosting exclusive evenings with special guests, ready to discuss all things dog beauty and wellness. And with gourmet dog nibbles, goodie bags and pupcakes on hand to keep the four-legged audience entertained, these evenings are guaranteed to be nothing but a few hours of fun!
