In the famous words of Jon Snow, winter is coming. In fact, judging by this week it has already hit and to tell you the truth, I am completely here for it. Sure, there’s nothing quite like tropical days at the beach with your pup, frequenting the outdoor eateries and soaking up the sun at the local dog park. But here’s the thing: I argue that the same can be said for cosy nights around the fire, exploring snowy trails and toasting marshmallows with a glass of red. I am a self proclaimed winter lover, here to make life a little easier for those of you who would rather hibernate than think about getting out and about in the cold. So, without further ado I present – your definitive packing list for any winter dog friendly holidays you may be planning.
THE CAMPING TRIP
Whether you are set up with the full campervan situation, or prefer to brave the elements in a tent, comfort is not hard to achieve these days when it comes to camping. With all the gadgets available, you’ll be enjoying a trip that’s as luxurious as you want – just don’t forget your dog’s essentials too. Remember that longlines are a must for campsites that only allow dogs on lead or for those pups who love to roam!
